Magico M2 Loudspeaker

Magico M2 Loudspeaker: Precision Engineering Meets Carbon Fiber Innovation

Harnessing advanced materials science, the Magico M2 introduces a new era of enclosure design. Drawing from the technology first developed for the M6, the M2’s monocoque carbon fiber enclosure is constructed from multiple carbon layers, achieving a 3/8″ thickness. This revolutionary design, comparable to the structural efficiency of an F-35 fighter jet’s shell, offers a 60-fold increase in strength-to-weight ratio compared to aluminum while reducing overall weight by 50%. This optimized design minimizes internal standing waves and external diffractions, maximizing both performance and space efficiency.

  • Ultra-Rigid Enclosure for Pure Sound: The M2’s robust enclosure features an internal three-axis matrix framework and three tension rods running front to back, delivering incredible rigidity and eliminating unwanted resonance. The result is a neutral soundstage that allows each driver to perform at peak precision. Magico’s exclusive Elliptical Symmetry Crossover topology integrates all drivers, using 24 dB Linkwitz-Riley components from Mundorf of Germany for seamless frequency transition. Inside, the midrange driver is housed within a dedicated sub-enclosure made from proprietary polymer, which protects it from bass back wave pressure and enhances midrange articulation.
  • Diamond-Coated Tweeter and Graphene Drivers
    • Tweeter: The M2 features the 28mm diamond-coated beryllium diaphragm tweeter, as seen in the M3 and M6, which achieves near-perfect stiffness without the added weight of a full diamond dome. Designed for long excursions, this tweeter pairs with a neodymium motor system, balancing sensitivity and power handling with ultra-wide dispersion and ultra-low distortion.
    • Midrange and Bass Drivers: Magico is a pioneer in utilizing graphene in loudspeaker cone design. The M2’s midrange and bass drivers use a blend of multi-wall carbon nanotubes and nanographene, making them 20% lighter and 300% stiffer than previous materials. Two seven-inch bass drivers are vertically aligned to enhance room integration, reproducing low frequencies with exceptional speed and accuracy, optimized through FEA simulation for minimal distortion.
  • MPod 3-Pt Stand for Vibration Control: The MPOD system enhances the M2’s performance by channeling unwanted vibrations away from the loudspeaker and dissipating resonance. Based on Constrained Layer Damping principles, it ensures firm coupling to the floor and includes six MPODs and a torque wrench for easy maintenance. The system delivers unparalleled stability and sonic results.

The Magico M2 combines material innovation with acoustic excellence, delivering a sonic experience defined by precision, clarity, and strength.
